New qualification available
Arrow Safety is pleased to confirm the launch of a new leisure-specific health and safety management certificate.
Managing Safety in Sport and Physical Activity is certificated through the recently formed Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) and has been specificaly developed for those who work in the leisure industry by Nigel Scriven of Arrow Safety and Peter Mills and Colin McCready of QLM Consulting.
The key aim of this 3-day training programme is that delegates will be able to develop and maintain an integrated health and safety management system that reflects best industry practice:

compiling risk assessments covering a wide range of topics including activity and general workplace risks;

developing a Health and Safety Management Manual and local operational procedures;

monitoring health and safety performance through both active and reactive monitoring, including accident investigation and accident trend analysis;

identifying and managing a formal planned preventative maintenance schedule including controlling the work of contractors;

developing formal training plans.
